Our hostel has a Health Management Plan registered with the Queensland Chief Medical Officer and are implementing all aspects of the plan to maintain a safe environment for all our guests. We expect all our guests to do their part by following the set guidelines at the time. Travel restrictions can change quickly, so we highly recommend checking the Queensland Government Covid-19 website: QLD Gov. Covd-19 Advice
If you are coming from or transiting through a COVID hotspot, we will be unable to accommodate you. To avoid disappointment on arrival, we recommend contacting the hostel directly prior to arrival to discuss your options.
Staying at least 1.5m physically distant around the hostel is important. Communal areas have maximum capacity numbers to remind both staff and guests.
Choose a private room for your household unit. Multi share rooms have reduced occupancy for safe distancing.
There are extra cleaning protocols and frequency especially in communal areas and on high-touch surfaces through-out the hostel. We are using approved cleaning products in line with our registered Health Plan.
Hand sanitiser is at reception and soap in all bathrooms and kitchens. Signage reminds us all of the importance of washing our hands frequently.
Guests need to allow appropriate distancing in common areas with a maximum of one guest per 4sqm at any one time.
On check in, we will share special guidelines for your stay with us. Extra check in information will be required to follow Health Department guidelines. We recommend downloading the government’s COVIDSafe app.
