Free shuttle bus for backpackers

Free shuttle bus pick-ups and drop-offs at 10am, 11am, 2:15pm and 7:15pm from/to the Greyhound Bus Terminal and Ferry Terminal to Magnetic Island. Please book ahead on (07) 4771 5381 or by email.

City Bus 200 or 201 also drops you off in Stanley street 20m away from the our backpacker hostel for $1.80. (Cash)

Rooms available for backpackers and travellers

Make a choice from our low-cost air conditioned dorms and ensuite bathroom, range of twin share and double rooms or top of the range double room with ensuite bathroom; all with free linen and clean. Rooms to suit all styles of backpacker. Groups and families welcome.

Our hostel kitchen is kitted out

Our backpacker hostel kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking requirements. Stove cook tops, large oven, microwave, large stainless steel preparation areas; all stocked with items to make your cooking experience that little bit easier. Coffee, tea and sugar is free of charge for our guests to enjoy.

No charge for use of any equipment, cutlery, or crockery at our budget backpacker hostel.

Clean and eco-friendly bathrooms at our hostel

We offer clean and accessible bathrooms at our Townsville backpacker hostel. Both male and female appointed showers and toilets are available. Our eco-friendly hot water systems ensure that hot water is always on tap and our housekeeping team patrol regularly to make sure the facilities are clean and ready for use.

Entertainment lounge at our hostel

Our Townsville backpacker hostel, as well as clean, budget accommodation, offers a cosy lounge area to relax with a big screen TV, DVD player and heaps of movies to choose from. Board games available too and computers to access the internet, all free of charge.

It’s not Australia, if you don’t have a BBQ

Our hostel offers free use of the barbecue and access to a vending machine for gatherings with your fellow backpackers.

Laundry available for our backpackers

We provide you with commercial grade washing machines and dryer for $4.00 per load; an iron and ironing board is also available for free use at our hostel. Washing powder available for $1.00 at Reception.

We welcome luggage storage at our hostel

Catching a late flight, or just need to fit in one more sight before you hit the road? You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge after checkout at our backpackers’ hostel in Townsville. Feel free to use the common areas after check out while you wait for your next adventure.

Check-in time is 2pm – 9 30pm. Late check in is possible. Please contact us ahead of arrival to organise a late key.

Check out 10am for private rooms and 9:30am for dorm rooms.
